Smart Dog

Sammy is learning to “speak” on command. :) She still needs a lot of work, but she’s starting to understand better every time we work on it. When I first tried to get Sammy to bark, I had to figure out what would trigger her to do it. She normally barks only when there are strangers on our property, or outside of the front door. Sometimes she barks when she’s excited and chasing me around the house, too. It’s so funny because when I tell her to speak, and use my hand signal, she opens her mouth and kind of snaps at the air a few times, and then finally barks.
